13 Jul Unexpected Terrain
A decision that I made years ago to acquire a high content wolfdog pup has had me chase rainbows, climb mountains, plunge into rapids and tumble into quicksand. All this for a vision I could so clearly see. I never did know the struggle, the pain, and the hurt that I, my family, friends, and a little fluff of fur would endure. Every day I learn more about my spirit and my commitment to the overall plan. Every day reminds me of the purpose of life, which is compassion, empathy, unconditional love, and nonjudgement.
There is a moment in every new day, where I can drown in the waterfall of my tears and yet in the next breath, I feel joy for the blessing of the glass-boned, broken-legged one-eye blind puppy that was gifted to me somehow from the universe. I am stumbling. I am fighting an inner battle. I am cut-up at times from the voices of those who believe they know best. Ultimately, I am surrendering to the lesson of embracing unexpected terrain.
