The Importance and Value of The International Coach Federation
I have been a Certified Professional Coach since 2013. I am so very excited about the rebranding of my coaching profession in 2018. The rebranding also meant for me embracing the coaching professional at its highest standard and fulfilling a professional goal of going through a comprehensive application and evaluation process for credentialing through the International Coach Federation.
I am very honored to be awarded the credentialing as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) of the International Coach Federation (ICF). My professional goal going forward includes a commitment to attaining the credentialing as a Master Certified Coach (MCC) of the ICF.
The International Coach Federation describes the global organization and defines coaching as follows:
“International Coach Federation (ICF) is the world’s largest organization of professionally trained coaches. ICF credentials are awarded to professional coaches who have met stringent education and experience requirements and have demonstrated and thorough understanding of the coaching competencies that set the standard in the profession. Achieving credentials through ICF signifies a coach’s commitment to integrity, understanding and mastery of coaching skills, and dedication to clients.
ICF defines coaching as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.”
