28 Oct Bridging Trust
Today, I wanted to explore the depth of relationship, built upon trust, that I have been creating with my 16-month old wolfdog, Sequoi. Together, we traveled the 1 km hike to the Kinsol Trestle, a wooden bridge standing 145 feet high and spanning 614 feet in length. With the gaps between the planks on the crossing, I thought for sure Sequoi would balk, or walk low in a crouched position ~ if he even crossed at all. Trustingly, Sequoi matched me, step by step, keeping a good solid pace, stopping only to visit with folks along the crossing. I am proud of my boy. He did an excellent job indeed today, and people were so excited to meet him.
